Happy New Year!
Greetings, and welcome to 2016!
The refresh of the interior and return to brown is complete. Or rather, as complete as it will be for some time. The carpet and headliner still will need replaced, but neither of those things will happen until I end up painting the car. The headliner replacement requires all of the glass to be removed, and I don't want to do that more than once. Similarly, some of the carpet pieces are glued to the body, and I don't want to glue down new only to later have to rip it back out during the painting process. So what you see here is how it will remain for a couple of years at least. (Forgive the picture quality, the much darker interior is hard to photograph.)
I'm thrilled with the results. Both with the quality of work, and also how much better the darker interior accents the rest of the car. I believe this change has finally put the question of a future color change to rest—while Chiffon would still not be my first choice, I now find it quite acceptable with the brown interior accent. Well worth the effort.
Upcoming—I've got a couple of small additions in mind for the next couple months, and I'm laying plans for a serious suspension refresh later in the Spring. Stay tuned.
Continued in March...
